Dundee's Face of Freedom is our annual fundraising event and modelling competition.
What's it all about? Dundee's Face of Freedom every year raises much needed funds for local charities. We have raised almost £70,000 for Maggie's Centre, Dundee as the centre receives no government funding and relies on donations. The event is a celebration of life; a celebration of creative talent and a celebration of all that is great about Dundee. The finale event is after many months of preparation, fundraising and activities. The catwalk show is an evening of fun, fashion, music and great hair!
Dundee's Face of Freedom Models: From September to December, we recruit models to enter the competition - to become Dundee's Face of Freedom. The winner receives a cash prize, a starter portfolio of photographs and the opportunity of securing a modelling contract. There are also two runner up prizes.
Maggie's Models: Dundee's Face of Freedom also brings together a group from Maggie's - who are living with, through and beyond cancer. Maggie's Models are recruited by Face of Freedom founder, Arlene Fenton. They are our Maggie's Models. The whole process is about celebrating life and making people these people look and feel great - and they - along with our Face of Freedom models - will be strutting their stuff on the catwalk - in front of family and friends.
